Products Description
Nexisense RDO-406 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Definition
The Nexisense RDO-406 dissolved oxygen sensor is a high-tech device used to measure the concentration of dissolved oxygen in water. It is designed based on the fluorescence method, capable of real-time and accurate water quality monitoring, providing essential data support for water treatment, environmental monitoring, and scientific research.
Principle
The working principle of the RDO-406 sensor is based on the phenomenon of fluorescence quenching. When excitation light shines on the fluorescent material on the sensor's surface, the material emits fluorescence. Oxygen molecules will cause a quenching effect on the fluorescence, resulting in a decay time that is inversely proportional to the concentration of oxygen. By detecting the phase difference between fluorescence and excitation light and comparing it with the internal calibration curve, the sensor can calculate the concentration of oxygen molecules in the water and output the final value after temperature and salinity compensation.
Structure Analysis
The structure of the Nexisense RDO-406 sensor is compact and mainly consists of the following components:
Fluorescent Film Head: Used to detect the interaction between fluorescence and oxygen molecules.
Built-in Temperature Sensor: Enables automatic temperature compensation to ensure measurement accuracy.
ABS and 316L Stainless Steel Shell: Achieves IP68 protection level, suitable for harsh environments.
RS-485 Interface: Supports Modbus/RTU protocol for easy data transmission and system integration.
Measurement Method
The Nexisense RDO-406 employs fluorescence method for dissolved oxygen measurement, offering the following advantages:
No electrolyte required: Avoids polarization issues associated with traditional electrochemical sensors.
No oxygen consumption: Suitable for long-term monitoring, reducing maintenance costs.
Not affected by flow rate: Maintains stable measurements under varying flow conditions.
Small drift and rapid response: Ensures measurement accuracy and timeliness.
